How do I decide which type of condensing boiler best suits my needs?

 

 

There are 3 different types of high-efficiency condensing boiler:

 

Combi

Regular (a regular boiler is often also referred to as a “traditional” or “conventional” boiler.)

System

 

Each type delivers all the benefits of high-efficiency technology, but which one you choose will depend on several factors, including your property, your lifestyle and the professional advice from us as we are CORGI / Gas Safe(gas) registered installers.

 

 

Conventional (Traditional) Boiler

An open vent (sometimes known as heating only) system provides central heating and hot water via a boiler, a storage cylinder in the airing cupboard and water tanks in the loft.  If you are looking to do a full system overhaul most people opt to remove the tanks from the loft and turn thier open vent system to a sealed system.

 

 

Combination Boilers

Combi's are now the most popular boiler type for gas central heating in Britain. They've been proven steadfast, reliable and tough.

Combi boilers provide central heating and hot water without the need for a separate tank to store the water, hence you can easily tuck them away under the stairs or in kitchen cabinets.

 

System Boiler

A system boiler (often referred to as a sealed system) provides central heating and hot water via a storage cylinder housed in an airing cupboard.  There's no need for water tanks in the loft, as with an open vent boiler.

This type of system is most suited for larger homes with multiple bathroom / ensuites.

 

 

Radiators

The radiators which we supply are a high quality radiator which come fitted with top grilles and side panels. The radiators are supplied in an all white finish, the smooth surface of the radiators are achieved by a unique two coat paint process that ensures a long and hardwearing lifespan.

 

Towel rails

You may decide to have a different style radiator, for example we can supply a laddered towel rail for the bathroom which comes in a stunning chrome finish or white and gold, these towel rails come in a variety of sizes to suit the size of your room.
